Escape From New York

Imagine the entire city of Manhattan walled off from the rest of the world and being populated with the worst criminals from all over the country. In the 1981 movie Kurt Russell plays “Snake” Plisskin; an ex-soldier and fugitive who is given 24 hours to rescue the President after surviving a crash on the island. Those who trade the NY session know that alot can happen in a short period of time. The New York Session is known for significant breakouts and/or reversals as US trading houses and banks kick off the day. If you are going to survive NY you will need a good strategy.

Escape from NY is a breakout strategy that looks for the proper conditions using a proprietary indicator called the DFI. The DFI is used to define the market condition at the time of the trade thereby increasing the trader’s ability to be more selective. Since most movements during this time are very quick the trade is triggered on price action. The Escape from NY also has some key back-up strategies just in case the market decides to try and pull a fast one.
